Caitlyn Jenner Gets Cast in Guest TV Roles by TheWrap’s Emmy Party Stars (Video)

From “Jane the Virgin” to “Empire,” the former Olympian has a few new roles to consider

Since transitioning and revealing her new identity, Caitlyn Jenner has captivated the media and millions of fans. Though Jenner will she soon will be starring in her own E! docuseries “I Am Cait,” it could only be a matter of time before her popularity has Hollywood knocking for acting gigs.

At TheWrap’s 2nd Annual Emmy Party on Thursday night at The London Hotel in West Hollywood, attendees on the red carpet were asked to cast the new trans icon in a potential guest role on their respective TV shows. Ideas for roles varied from vineyard-owner-turned-venture-capitalist, stalker love interest and an even more dramatic twist on “Jane the Virgin,” courtesy of the show’s own Justin Baldoni.

“Caitlyn Jenner would be perfect on ‘Jane the Virgin,” Baldoni told TheWrap. “She would probably somehow also get artificially inseminated with my sperm and it would be a crazy, massive event.”

Kaitlin Doubleday, who plays Rhonda Lyon on “Empire,” thought Caitlyn Jenner should portray a transgender parent on the FOX breakout show.

“Rhonda’s mom–slash dad. Used to be dad, now mom,” she suggested.

See John Ridley (“American Crime”), Suzanne Cryer (“Silicon Valley”), Marc Bendavid (“Dark Matters”) and RonReaco Lee and Erica Ash (“Survivor’s Remorse”) had in store for Jenner on their show.
