Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson — the musical guests on this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” — joined host Cameron Diaz on stage for some super-brief, super-awkward “SNL” promos, which are posted below.
The first attempt sees the trio holding a freeze frame for way too long. In the second take, Diaz puts the two musicians on the spot to say something funny. They fail, and she gets frustrated.
In related news, the NBC sketch comedy staple announced its December lineup earlier on Thursday.
James Franco and musical guest Nicki Minaj will handle the Dec. 6 show. A week later, Martin Freeman and Charlie XCX will take to Studio 8H. Finally, on Dec. 20, Amy Adams and One Direction will close out the 2014 slate.
