The first movie poster for the sequel to 2011's "Captain America: The First Avenger" was released by Marvel on Tuesday — and it's pretty dynamic.
OK, so it's just a shield with the second installment of the superhero franchise's release date — Apr. 14, 2014 — on it. But it's a pretty cool shield.
In the picture, nearly all of the paint has worn off Steve Rogers' (Chris Evans) famous red-and-white striped defense device. (One could make the case that it is also Rogers' strongest offensive weapon. Just did.)

In the sequel, Rogers teams up with Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.
"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" also stars Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan and Robert Redford.
The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.
