Channing Tatum to Attend ‘Ten Year’ High School Reunion

Jamie Linden is writing the script with Chris Pine, Anna Faris, Chris Pratt, Scott Porter and Jenna Dewan in mind

Two years after Channing Tatum's own ten-year high school reunion, the 30-year-old actor is planning to star in a fictional one.

The "G.I. Joe" star is developing the ensemble drama "Ten Year" with writer-director Jamie Linden ("We Are Marshall") and "Twilight" producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill, Tatum's publicist has confirmed to TheWrap.

As you might have guessed, the story follows a group of friends reuniting a decade after their graduation.

Linden is writing the script with specific actors in mind, including Tatum's wife and "Step Up" co-star Jenna Dewan, their married pals Anna Faris and Chris Pratt, plus Scott Porter ("Friday Night Lights") and "Star Trek" hero Chris Pine.

There are no deals in place for the actors, and their involvement will depend on availability, according to the Hollywood Reporter, which broke the story.

Tatum has been heavily involved in the development process for "Ten Year," and will produce the film with his 33andOut Prods. partner Reid Carolin.

The indie project is still assembling financing, but production is expected to begin in November.

Tatum recently signed on to star in "The Contortionist's Handbook," and he's currently filming "The Vow" with Rachel McAdams in Toronto.

He is represented by UTA and Management 360, while Paradigm and Magnet Management represent Linden, who previously worked with Tatum on "Dear John."
