Once again, Chrissy Teigen delivered the best hot tea — and this time, it broke major sports news.

On Sunday night, the sports world was rocked with the announcement that Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James signed a four-year, $154 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. But before the news was official, Teigen spotted James at a downtown LA embroidery shop, apparently getting his name stitched on a Lakers jersey.

“I’m at a small embroidery shop in downtown LA and lebron is here with a blank Lakers jersey? Trying to get a pic,” she tweeted. Shortly after that tweet, she posted a picture of James leaving the Downtown LA embroidery shop. “Ok got him leaving the basketball jersey embroidery shop. This is downtown LA.”

After ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported James’ 4-year, $154 million deal with the LA Lakers, Teigen quoted his tweet with a cheeky “told youuuu.”

And no Teigen report would be complete without a good joke: in response to a fan questioning whether James would be getting the embroidery done himself, Teigen replied, “No I guess they all have to get their own embroidery done. It keeps them grounded.”
