Chrissy Teigen is known for her wit, but she was at a loss for words when a paparazzo compared her husband, John Legend, to a monkey.
The 31-year-old model says she was approached by a photographer at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York on Thursday who turned a seemingly innocent interview into a hostile situation.
“Paparazzi at JFK just asked me ‘if we evolved from monkeys, why is John Legend still around?’ – and people wonder why celebs lose it in pics,” Teigen wrote to her Twitter account. “I was very kind. Answered cooking questions, then he came with that. F—ing disgusting.”
The “Lip Sync Battle” host said the paparazzo had the audacity to make the comment while her husband was right next to her.
Teigen said she kept her cool and didn’t “drag” the photographer like one Twitter user suggested, because “they live for that photo and lawsuit.”
The model added that the paparazzo went from asking her questions about cooking and recipes to making an anti-semitic remark.
“He also went from ‘what’s an easy recipe to make at home’ to ‘if a Jew were a vampire, would he still be afraid of crosses?’” wrote Teigen.
