CNN’s Chris Cuomo Calls Out President Trump’s ‘Bully Tactics’ (Video)

“These are bully tactics by someone who is showing insecurity when he should be the most secure person in the United States of America,” Cuomo says

CNN’s “New Day” co-host Chris Cuomo called out President Donald Trump’s “bully tactics” on Friday during a conversation about the White House’s war with media.

“The media has brought some of this on ourselves, there is a reason that Bannon and Trump want to attack us, and it’s because the media is actually less popular than Donald Trump,” political commentator Matt Lewis said. “There is a reason for that.”

Cuomo fired back, “I don’t know that it’s true. I think these popularity polls are a lot of air. Do people love the media? No. But the people don’t love anything. ”

Cuomo said that Trump is the most powerful man in the world and that he should act like it.

“These are bully tactics by someone who is showing insecurity when he should be the most secure person in the United States of America,” Cuomo said.

On Thursday, The New York Times reported that Trump’s chief White House strategist Steve Bannon said, “The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while.”

“I want you to quote this,” Bannon said, according to the Times. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”
