CoverGirl has broken ground in terms of gender equality with the announcement of the cosmetic company’s first ever male spokesmodel.
James Charles, 17, from Bethlehem, New York, is set to make history by becoming the first male ambassador for the cosmetics giant in its nearly 60 years as a brand, Time reported.
Charles is a senior in high school who is also a make-up artist — and he already has 430,000 Instagram followers, which will no doubt explode in the upcoming days.
With a full face of flawless make-up that makes him look even more glam than the pop star, Charles already looks like he fits right in with the popular brand.
“I am so beyond excited and overwhelmed and happy and astonished and of course, SHOOK, to announce that I am the newest face of @covergirl,” he wrote in his own Instagram announcement. “First ever male ambassador for the brand and I am so honored and excited to be working with such an iconic brand.”
Jaden’s first TV role came alongside his parents Will and Jada Pinkett Smith in “All of Us,” a show based loosely on their family. It premiered on UPN in 2003, where it aired for three seasons before moving to The WB.
