Gwyneth Paltrow had some fun this week trolling critics of her reported dinner with OpenAI founder Sam Altman.

On Thursday, the actress took to Instagram to poke fun at Puck’s reports she was going to have Altman to her Hamptons home for a “private, off-the-record al fresco dinner” later this month. This caused enough of an online stir for the Oscar winner to take to social media for a tongue-in-cheek response.

In an Instagram post, she joked about an exclusive dinner party she was hosting with an eclectic guest list. Her invitees included a number of fictional characters like homicidal AI bot M3gan, Kim Catrall’s “Sex and the City” character Samantha Jones, Shrek, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” bombshell Jessica Rabbit and recent viral meme character Chanty Beluga. The invite also gave a peek at the fake dinner’s menu.

“We’re serving swordfish burritos, cheddar foam lattes on request,” Paltrow wrote in the caption.

The rumored dinner with Altman is said to be scheduled for Aug. 29. When the news started making the rounds it didn’t take long for those anti-AI critics to call Paltrow out for embracing Altman when so much of the entertainment industry is fighting to regulate the new tech.

“Gwyneth Paltrow is hosting an event at her home specifically to honor Sam Altman because she’s that much of a tone-deaf dumbass,” one X user posted.

“Like an episode of ‘Black Mirror,” another wrote.

Paltrow has an apparent history of being pro-AI. She last made online waves in June when she had the co-founder of AI weapons manufacturer Anduril, Trae Stephens, on her Goop Podcast to talk all things AI and politics.

“I’m pretty centrist, and my husband thinks I’m a Republican,” she said. “But I think it’s — which I’m not a Republican,” she continued. “I don’t feel anything right now, to be totally honest with you. I feel like I’m completely an independent.”
