‘Lost’ Guy Damon Lindelof Working on Hush-Hush Sci-Fi Project for Disney

The studio is releasing no details, but the movie is tentatively titled “1952”

Walt Disney Studios is teaming with Damon Lindelof for a project that is likely to be as big as it is currently secret.

It's tentatively titled "1952," and seems to be a sci-fi, but details are scarce.

Lindelof is a sci-fi guy: He wrote and produced this year's "Cowboys & Aliens," and is writing and producing the 2012 untitled "Star Trek" sequel. He also produced 2009's "Star Trek" and was an executive producer and writer on the television hit "Lost."

He's also writing "Prometheus" for Twentieth Century Fox. Ridley Scott is directing and producing that movie.

Paramount's "Star Trek" grossed $385 million worldwide. Universal's "Cowboys & Aliens" is set for a July 29 release.

Deadline first reported the news.
