‘Daredevil’ Has ‘a Lot in Common’ With Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin in Full Trailer for Marvel-Netflix Series (Video)

Charlie Cox plays the eponymous superhero who fights crime on the streets by night, and in the courthouse by day

“Daredevil” has “a lot in common” with Vincent D’Onofrio’s villainous Kingpin in the first full trailer for the Marvel-Netflix series.

Much like Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), the man behind the titular superhero’s mask, Kingpin says he loves the city he lives in — and that apparently means ruling over it with a bloody fist.

“When I was a kid, I used to dream what it would be like to live somewhere far away from Hell’s Kitchen,” Kingpin narrates in the trailer. “But I realized the city was a part of me. It was my blood, and I would do anything to make it a better place.”

While the blind superhero — a vigilante by night, and a public defender by day — uses violence to clean up the streets, Kingpin uses violence to control them.

“You and I have a lot in common,” Kingpin tells Murdock, who responds, “We’re nothing alike.

Viewers will find out who is telling the truth when the 13-episode series co-starring Rosario Dawson, Elden Henson or Deborah Ann Woll premieres in its entirety on April 10.
