David Beckham Asks Deadpool to Apologize for Bad Ryan Reynolds Movies (Video)

But crosses the line when he disses “Boltneck”

In a new promo for “Deadpool 2,” the Merc with a Mouth is finally ready to apologize to David Beckham for a joke he made at the soccer star’s expense in the first film.

For those who don’t remember the quip, Deadpool explains to Blind Al (Leslie Uggams) that looks matter more than acting talent, before taking a crack at Beckham: “You ever heard David Beckham speak? It’s like he mouth-sexed a can of helium.”

The clip sees Beckham replaying that scene over and over before Deadpool shows up at his door to apologize, but is rebuffed by the ex-Manchester United midfielder. That is until Deadpool shows up in a soccer jersey with World Cup tickets and says, “I can’t wait to not watch Italy play the Netherlands.”

After a little-too-long hug between the two, Beckham then feigns ignorance for why Deadpool is apologizing, to which he replies, “What did you think I was apologizing for?”

“I mean there’s a list,” Beckham responded, before rolling off some of Ryan Reynolds’ lesser regarded films including “Green Lantern,” “R.I.P.D.,” “Selfless” and to Deadpool’s chagrin, the 2000 horror film, “Boltneck.”

The video also serves as a promo for Fox Sports’ first-ever coverage of the World Cup, which kicks off next month in Russia.
