David Letterman Wants Seth Meyers to Change ‘Late Night’ Show Name (Video)

He even has a historical suggestion: “The Tomorrow Show”

Who better for Seth Meyers to get late night hosting advice from than David Letterman, who even once worked on the show that Meyers is poised to take over?

On Tuesday, Meyers told Letterman that he intends on keeping the “Late Night” show title, though Letterman has a better suggestion: Rename the show what it was once called, “The Tomorrow Show.”

Meyers quickly quipped, “I wish we talked like, yesterday — we just printed the mugs.”

When Paul Schaffer backed up his boss, telling the longtime “Saturday Night Live” head writer to send his mugs back, Meyers joked, “I don’t know who your mug guy is, but ours is really difficult.”

Meyers takes over “Late Night” on Feb. 24.
