Deceased Monkees singer Davy Jones was unsure of the song that would become one of the group's biggest hits

Davy Jones' death on Wednesday at the age of 66 filled fans' hearts everywhere with sadness. But that doesn't mean that we can't harness the healing power of song — specifically, his — to help soothe our sorrow.

Interestingly, when the Monkees were first presented with the John Stewart-penned "Daydream Believer," he wasn't sure of the tune's potential. It went on to become a signature song of his, and one of the group's biggest hits, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
