Daytona 500 Champ Gets ‘Daytona 500 Champ’ Tattoo on His Butt (Video)

Austin Dillon’s surprising win is permanently etched in the history books — and on his body

On Sunday, NASCAR driver Austin Dillon shocked the motorsports world by winning the Daytona 500. By Monday morning, he was sporting a new tattoo in honor of his team’s achievement — yeah, it’s on his butt.

Dillon’s fresh ink is of the Daytona 500 logo with the word “Champ” underneath it, he told reporters in his winner’s news conference today at Daytona International Speedway.

“You’ll never be able to see it,” Dillon said, per ESPN. “It’s… pretty cool looking. [My wife] is probably the only one that is going to see it for a while.”

“It hurt,” he added of the needlepoint. “It feels OK this morning, but one of my boys smacked me on the butt when I came over here, and I was like, ‘Easy, guys.’”
