Showtime's killer hit drama "Dexter" returns for its eighth and final season on June 30, and it looks like Debra, the titular serial killer's sister, is heading for hard times.
In a new trailer released for the series, Debra (Jennifer Carpenter), who last season got further drawn into Dexter's world with the killing of Maria LaGuerta, engages in all sorts of self-destructive behavior. Sniffing coke? Yep. Hooking up with a skeevy dude? Uh-huh. Getting arrested for DUI? Oh, goodness, yes…
She also confronts Dexter, telling him, "You made me compromise everything about myself that I care about, and I hate you for it. I shot the wrong person in that trailer."
Meanwhile, Dexter finds himself with a new problem in the form of Dr. Evelyn Vogel (Charlotte Rampling), an expert on psychopaths who blows into town and could spell trouble for Dex because, well, duh.
