Disney, Fox, Discovery Stocks Rebound Post Brexit

Media stocks rise for the first time since last week’s vote for the U.K. to leave the E.U.

Brexit: Your reign of terror on our domestic stock markets is officially over — for now, at least.

Major media stocks for highly global companies like Discovery, Disney, Fox, Apple and Netflix actually rose on Tuesday, following a few rough trading days for each. The Dow Jones Industrial Average index itself claimed back 268.46 points by the afternoon’s closing bell.

Of course, there’s still quite a long road to recovery, but this is a start.

Here are today’s trading results for our sampling of major media companies with strong ties to the U.K.:

The U.S. stock markets have been falling since the U.K. voted to leave the European Union last week, now commonly known as the “Brexit.”

American companies with the strongest ties across the pond suffered more than their fair share of valuation declines on Friday and Monday.
