The heat was on at the Democratic National Convention, so “Saturday Night Live” stars Michael Che and Colin Jost wanted to help protesters outside beat the heat.
The catch? The “Weekend Update” hosts were handing out free “Trump Water” on the streets of Philadelphia.
With temperatures in the 100’s — “Africa hot” as Che called it — people were eager to take the water until they saw Donald Trump’s face prominently displayed on the label.
“I’d rather die of thirst!” one woman said. Another proudly proclaimed, “No thank you. I’ll walk away tired and thirsty.”
A few people were willing to drink the water on camera, but a few performed some very over the top spit takes. “Don’t let hate change the way you hydrate!” Che said.
Che and Jost eventually threw it back to themselves in the studio, where Che said that everyone ended up taking the water despite their initial reluctance.
