The co-hosts of ABC’s “The View” sound pretty tired of talking about the 2016 election — someone better tell them they still have a long way to go.
Right now, the panelists are just plain scared of what they perceive to be the inevitable outcome: Donald Trump vs. Bernie Sanders.
“We are in trouble,” Collins said if the GOP frontrunner nabs the right’s nomination. After all, she thinks Trump is “just crazy, crackpot enough” to grab Sarah Palin as his running mate.
“He’s the Reddit Candidate … he’s like the Internet troll,” Collins said later of Trump, when the ladies discussed pushback to our politically correct culture.
Behar, the optimist of the group, made the sign of the cross for all of America if it comes to Sanders vs. Trump, a matchup that basically boils down to “a billionaire with no government experience, and … a real Socialist,” per actual journalist Paula Faris.
“I’m a Catholic. When I get desperate, I do that,” Behar said, explaining her on-camera prayers.
Moderator Whoopi Goldberg took it a step — or several thousand miles — further.
“Maybe it’s time for me to move,” she offered. “I can afford to go.”
