Gloria Allred went after Donald Trump in a statement sent to reporters on Tuesday, telling the GOP presidential nominee, “You will not intimidate me. Others who are smarter, richer and more famous than you are have tried and failed.”
Allred’s statement is a response to comments Trump made on Monday on a radio interview in New Hampshire in which he called Allred a third-rate lawyer and accused her of working with the Clinton campaign by sending hundreds of letters to current and former Trump employees looking for sexual harassment victims.
“I say to Mr. Trump, put up or shut up. I challenge you to produce the hundreds of non-existent letters which you allege were sent. You will not be able to do it,” Allred wrote. “There are no such letters to your employees or to Miss Universe contestants.”
She continued: “You are nothing but a fourth rate politician and a fifth rate human being who is losing this election and lashing out at the women who accuse you.”
Allred also told Trump that he is only bashing her because she represents three of his accusers and reminded him, “I do not work for the Clinton campaign. I work only for my clients.”
Allred concluded the heated memo by saying, “Please understand that you will not intimidate me. Others who are smarter, richer and more famous than you are have tried and failed.”
