President-elect to speak; Toby Keith and 3 Doors Down to perform

The celebration of America’s peaceful transition of power kicks off on Thursday at 4 p.m. ET/ 1 p.m. PT with “Make America Great Again” pre-inauguration festivities.

The concert will be broadcast live from the Lincoln Memorial and is scheduled to include remarks from President-elect Donald Trump and performances by Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down, various military bands and a variety of other performers.

The celebration is also scheduled to feature Vice President-elect Mike Pence, Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight, The Piano Guys, Lee Greenwood, RaviDrums and a fireworks show by Gucci at the conclusion.

Earlier on Thursday, a “Voices of the People” concert featured several other group’s, including the Washington D.C. Fire Department Emerald Society Pipes and Drums and the American Tap Company.

“Soul Man” singer Sam Moore is also scheduled to perform, and recently explained that a lot of performers have backed out the inauguration events due to public pressure to not sing for Trump.

“I swear, out of the 61 years I was in the business — and I’m 81 now, I’ll be 82 this year — I have never in my life thought I would see something like this. This is mind-boggling,” Moore told Tucker Carlson on Fox News on Tuesday. “You don’t know the man. The man hasn’t taken office. He hasn’t said his name yet to say, ‘Yes, I’ll be president.’”
