Someone check Mehmet Oz’s pulse.

“Dr. Oz” just hit a new all-time series low with a 1.0 Nielsen TV rating, slipping 9 percent week over week. The syndicated talk show has been on since 2009.

Compared to the same week last year, “Dr. Oz” dropped 17 percent.

It’s not entirely Oz’s fault. The week following the May sweep period is typically a dud for these shows, and “Ellen” and “Steve Harvey” both experienced even worse declines on a percentage basis.

A number of talkers suffered season lows due simply to the calendar — the week in question started on the Memorial Day holiday. But a new series low for a show this old, well, let’s just say it may be time to pull the plug.
