R&B singer SZA has been a longtime admirer of Drew Barrymore, and now she finally got the chance to meet her face to face in the music video for her latest song that she named after the former child actress.
In the Dave Meyers-directed music video for “Drew Barrymore,” SZA wanders the streets of New York after a night out. Fast-forward the video to 2:18, and you’ll get a glimpse of Barrymore walking by SZA, giving her a knowing smile.
SZA premiered “Drew Barrymore” during a special appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Barrymore quickly gave the song a seal of approval with an Instagram video of her watching the performance on her phone.
SZA’s latest album, “Ctrl,” is available now. Barrymore’s latest project, the horror-comedy “Santa Clarita Diet,” is streaming on Netflix and will return for a second season in 2018. Check out the two ladies together in the music video above.
