Kevin Hart makes for a reluctant action hero in the first trailer for “Central Intelligence,” but at least he’s got Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for a partner.
The Rawson Marshall Thurber-directed action comedy sees Hart as a former high school athlete turned accountant who is roped into a dangerous game when he encounters Johnson’s character, Bob, the former bullied kid in school who’s now a badass CIA agent.
Bob gives his old classmate the customary “Are you in or out?” speech, but it’s not like he has much of a choice and the two are off on one face off after another against a myriad of bad guys.
There’s comedic and action scenes aplenty, but the crown jewel of “Central Intelligence” is clearly the flashback to Johnson’s character in high school, when he was known as “Fat Robbie.”
“Central Intelligence” will be released on June 17, 2016.
