‘Easy A’ Director Will Gluck Signs TV/Movie Deal With Sony

Two-year development and production deal covers all of Sony’s banners, including Columbia, Screen Gems and Sony Pictures TV

Will Gluck has signed a two-year production and development deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment, covering both television and movie projects, Sony announced Wednesday.

Gluck, a well-regarded comedy writer-director-producer, is now developing "Sex on the Moon" for Columbia. His next movie is "Friends with Benefits," a Screen Gems film starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis.

The deal, negotiated by Gluck's reps at UTA and attorney Robert Offer, covers all of Sony's banners, including Columbia, Screen Gems and Sony Pictures Television.

Gluck's low-budget "Easy A" grossed nearly $75 million at the global box office.

Gluck is a former staff writer on NBC's "The John Larroquette Show," and was a writer and producer on "Working," "Grosse Point" and "Andy Richter Controls the Universe."

He created and executive produced Fox television's 2003 series "Luis."
