Eminem Is First Artist Since 1964 to Have Four Simultaneous Top 20 Hits

The last to do it? A little band called The Beatles — maybe you’ve heard of them

Perhaps Eminem truly is a “Rap God.”

The emcee became just the sixth artist ever — and the first since 1964 — to have four songs in the Billboard Hot 100 top 20 simultaneously. The last time that happened, it was courtesy of the Beatles.

Other hip-hop artists have come close to the honor recently, Billboard reported. Rappers 50 Cent, T-Pain and Lil Wayne all almost joined the exclusive club with hits that included featured billings, but were not the lead artists on four tracks at once.

For Eminem, here’s how the feat breaks down: “The Monster” is sitting at No. 3 on the Hot 100. At numbers 15, 16 and 17 are singles “Berzerk,” “Survival” and “Rap God,” respectively.

Slim Shady’s latest album, “The Marshall Mathers LP 2” debuted Tuesday. Industry insiders predict it will be the clear Billboard No. 1 when announced next week, and likely will become the second biggest debut of the year.
