Emmy Quickie: Why ‘SYTYCD’ Choreographer Travis Wall Blacked Out Last Year (Exclusive Video)

Dancer tells TheWrap how he will react if he wins another Emmy

“So You Think You Can Dance” choreographer Travis Wall might do a silent ugly cry if he wins an Emmy this year for choreography — and he’s already got the pained expression to prove it.

It’s a look that comes from experience: Wall told TheWrap that when he won last year’s Emmy in the same category, “I kind of blacked out last year when they called my name.”

Still, he could tell he won because of his boyfriend’s and mother’s reactions.

Ten years ago, when he was just 18, Wall was a contestant on the second season of “So You Think You Can Dance,” and he finished in second place.

Although the choreographer is no stranger to the stage — or Emmy nominations, of which he has six — the excitement of it all still seems to affect him.

At last year’s Emmy Awards, for example, he was shaking, crying and speaking really fast during his acceptance speech.

“So it’ll probably be that times 12,” he said, about what might happen if he wins again, this time around.

Wall will also be sure to thank his mom for his success.

“I would not be here without her,” he said. “I owe her everything.”
