Jennifer Lawrence is “the real deal funny,” according to comedian Amy Schumer, and proved it on Sunday with a text insulting the first-time Emmy winner’s appearance at the TV awards ceremony.
“She said that I looked pretty but not smart,” Schumer told Entertainment Tonight. “She did. She’s really funny. She’s the real deal funny.”
The “Trainwreck” star’s Comedy Central sketch show, “Inside Amy Schumer,” took home the award for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series at the 67h annual Primetime Emmys.

The text message from the “Hunger Games” star comes weeks after the pair of leading ladies announced they have written a screenplay together, along with Schumer’s sister, Kim.
Coincidentally, the New York Times interview in which Lawrence “spilled the beans ” about their creative collaboration also resulted in a publicized text exchange.

“I wrote, ‘I just spilled the beans to The New York Times. Is that OK?'” Lawrence told the paper. “And Amy wrote back, ‘That you’re gay? Totally! It’s exciting!'”
Schumer said on Sunday that the movie will “hopefully” be shot in a year or so.
