Showtime Hires NBCU Cable's Erin Calhoun as Corporate Communications SVP

Showtime Networks, Inc. has hired NBCUniversal cable’s Erin Calhoun, who joins as a Corporate Communications senior vice president.

Calhoun will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all corporate public relations initiatives on behalf of Showtime Networks, including corporate communications, distributor relations, marketing, digital media, film and documentary acquisitions, international sales, consumer products, streaming and new business development initiatives.

She’ll also act as one of the primary liaisons with CBS Corporate Communications on long-range communications strategies, among other responsibilities. Calhoun will be based in New York and report to Johanna Fuentes.

Calhoun most recently served as vice president of Corporate Communications at NBCU, managing trade and business strategies and internal communications for USA Network, SYFY and Chiller. There, she oversaw communications for the networks’ marketing and digital initiatives, ad sales, corporate social responsibility and business development.

Prior to joining NBC, Calhoun worked for six years at Discovery Communications, where she was a vice president. Previously, she spent 10 years as an independent consultant for various clients including TNT, TBS, Disney Channel, Discovery and GSN (Game Show Network), supporting their original films and programs.

I like being on the set and the process of doing the work," he said. On working the Emmy campaign trail, McRaney told The Party Report, "It's weird, but it's a damn good weird."
