Tootie, Blair, Natalie and Jo are going to wish you a merry Christmas this Sunday, thanks to Lifetime’s new movie, “You Light Up My Christmas,” which features the core cast of the iconic TV series “The Facts of Life.”
And while Kim Fields, Lisa Whelchel, Mindy Cohn and Nancy McKeon won’t actually be playing their characters from the ’80s sitcom in this movie, you take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have the trailer for the new made-for-TV holiday film.
Lifetime dropped the video, which you can view above, on Wednesday, which features Fields, Cohn and Whelchel, but not McKeon. However, it has been confirmed the actress, who played Jo, will be making a cameo in the cable channel’s Christmas movie, as well.
Inspired by true events, “You Light Up My Christmas” is the story of Emma (Fields), who returns to her hometown built around her family’s pioneer Christmas Light Factory two weeks before Christmas. However, upon Emma’s return, she discovers the lights have gone dim in the once festive town, prompting her to reconnect with an old flame (Adrian Holmes) to set their hearts and the town ablaze with light again.
“You Light Up My Christmas” premieres this Sunday, Dec. 1, at 8/7c on Lifetime.
