‘The Hobbit’ Spawns Fan-Made Trailer That Brings Some Viewers to Tears (Video)

A viral YouTube video combines trailers and TV spots for "The Hobbit" to create a lengthy super-trailer.

Someone with a lot of time on his or her hands and a lot of love for J.R.R. Tolkien has edited together a super-preview of Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" — and fans are loving it.

Anyone allergic to spoilers need not worry either because all of the footage was found in a variety of trailers and TV spots. Using what fans have most likely already seen — unless their allergy is so severe that they have completely stopped watching trailers — a YouTube user going by joatmonjb stitches together a linear narrative, previewing "the possible running order of the final film."

And at just over seven-and-a-half-minutes, it's hard not to feel like you've just watched the final film. Still, it's nowhere near the 2-hour-40-minute version that hits theaters on Dec. 14, 2012, so admirers are nothing but grateful for the extended sneak peek.

"I think this may actually tide me over until I get to see the movie!" one viewer exclaims, while another kindly refers to the fan-made trailer has "pure awesomeness." Others are more sentimental.

"I started tearing up while watching the trailer," a comment reads. "I read the Hobbit in my childhood and it was epic, and seeing this is very moving and heart touching."
