Ioan Gruffudd (“Fantastic Four”) learns a little something about human bondage Tuesday on his supernatural ABC drama “Forever.”
In TheWrap’s exclusive photo from the episode, Gruffudd’s character, an immortal New York medical examiner named Dr. Henry Morgan, finds himself in a deliciously sexy pickle (for viewers anyway) when he finds himself chained, bound, and um, shirtless.
Of course, Gruffudd’s character tends to be naked often as part of his multiple returns from death involves coming back sans clothing.
The BDSM-themed episode — titled “The Ecstasy of Agony” — pits him up against “One Tree Hill” veteran Hilarie Burton, who guest stars as a dominatrix being investigated for murder. Jane Seymour (“Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman”) also guest stars as Abe’s (Judd Hirsch) on again, off again ex-wife.
As TheWrap previously reported, “Forever” got off to a lukewarm start with its late September premiere, posting a 1.4 rating/5 share in the 18-49 demographic most important to advertisers, but ABC gave it a full season order on Friday.
Alana De La Garza, Lorraine Toussaint and Donnie Keshawarz also co-star.
