Feeling a little bit more country? Fox has ordered one-hour special “American Country Countdown’s Top 10 Stories of 2015,” a companion piece to the spring awards show of the same name.
The December TV event will include appearances by Jason Aldean, Kix Brooks, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Little Big Town, Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood. Additional talent, performers and the host will be announced at a later date.
Together, the country music personalities will count down the genre’s Top 10 defining and most talked-about moments of the year. The special will include interviews, video highlights and performances, per the network.
The ACC Top 10 special comes from Dick Clark Productions. Allen Shapiro, Mike Mahan, Mark Bracco, Brooks, Richard Godfrey and Tom Forrest are executive producers.
“American Country Countdown’s Top 10 Stories of 2015” airs Thursday, Dec. 17 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
The “American Country Countdown Awards” air next spring. They are based on country music’s longest-running radio countdown show, “American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks,” and honor the industry’s biggest stars based on album sales and radio airplay.
