Fox News Photojournalists ‘Manhandled’ by Roy Moore Staffers (Video)

Footage shows embattled candidate’s team push photographers, grab equipment

Two staffers working for the Roy Moore Senate campaign “manhandled” a pair of Fox News photojournalists at an event in Alabama Monday night, the network reported.

“Two individuals … decided to push the cameras back and physically manhandle two Fox News photographers, pushing them away and grabbing their cameras,” network reporter Jonathan Serrie said from the scene.

The altercation took place as Moore was arriving at a campaign stop in Henager, Alabama. The matter was only resolved after a Fox News producer intervened.

Video of the altercation was captured and broadcast on Fox News. A network spokesperson declined to issue any additional comment.

“It’s not unusual for people to get bumped around a bit in a media scrum,” said Serrie. “This was not a scrum though, and it is highly unusual for members of a political campaign to physically engage in this manner with the press.”

As multiple allegations of sexual misconduct have been reported, Moore has responded with charges of fake news and has increasingly engaged in a scorched-earth campaign with members of the media. The candidate has insisted that all charges against him are false and that he has been the target of a witch hunt.

Polls show the race between him and Democrat Doug Jones to be too close to call.
