Fox has promoted Chris Aronson from senior VP of domestic distribution to executive VP and general sales manager, the company said Thursday.
Aronson, who joined Fox in 2005 as senior VP, general sales manager east, will be responsible for all of Twentieth Century Fox's theatrical distribution activities in the U.S. and Canada. He also will oversee the company's field offices in Los Angeles, New York and Toronto.
Aronson will continue to report to Bruce Snyder, Fox's president of domestic distribution.
"Chris has been a key member of our Distribution family since he joined the company," Snyder said in a written statement. "His formidable combination of experience and insights into our ever-evolving business, have been invaluable."
Before joining Fox, Aronson was Executive VP, general sales manager at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Distribution Co. Before that, he was a senior VP at the theatrical division of Rentrak Corp. He also has worked at Destination Films, Signature Theaters, Columbia Pictures, Vestron Pictures, New World Pictures and Universal Pictures.
