‘Frozen 2’: It’s Elsa vs the Ocean in Disney’s First Look (Video)

Winter is coming to fall, this fall

The first “Frozen 2” teaser trailer? Disney let it go on Wednesday morning.

In the near two-minute video, Elsa faces off with the ocean before ultimately reuniting with Anna, Kristof and his reindeer. This time, their quest begins in the fall foliage. Still pretty, and the seasonal crispness never bothered them anyway. (Well, maybe Olaf the snowman.)

“Frozen 2” again features the voice work of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad. Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck direct, Peter Del Vecho produces.

Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez wrote the songs.

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.

The original “Frozen” also had a Nov. 22 release date, though that one debuted back in 2013. “Frozen” earned more than $400 million at the domestic box office on a $150 million budget, per Box Office Mojo. Adding in worldwide ticket sales, that revenue soared to nearly $1.3 billion. We can’t even comprehend how much more money the franchise has brought to Disney in terms of consumer goods sales.

“Frozen” was also a big hit among critics. The animated film currently has a 90 percent “Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences have it at 85 percent, same as “top critics.”

So yeah, the sequel makes sense.
