“Hidden Figures” composer Pharrell Williams was no doubt a little confused at the Golden Globes red carpet when NBC News correspondent Jenna Bush asked him about his work on “Hidden Fences.”
As seen in the video below, Williams doesn’t quite know how to react to the slip of the tongue by Bush, which combined the titles of two Golden Globe-nominated films.
“Hidden Figures” is based on a true story and stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monae. The actresses play three black mathematicians who were instrumental in the early days of NASA and the U.S. space program.
Spencer is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, while Hans Zimmer, Williams and Benjamin Wallfisch are nominated for Best Original Score.
Meanwhile, “Fences” stars Denzel Washington and Viola Davis as a black couple in the 1950s trying to raise their son and coming to terms with trauma from their past.
Both Washington and Davis are nominated for Golden Globes for Best Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama and Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture-Drama.
