‘Grease: Live’ Stars Carly Rae Jepsen, Kether Donohue Channel Britney Spears (Exclusive Video)

A question about musical obsessions brings on an impromptu karaoke session in a new edition of “Between 2 Pink Ladies”

In a new edition of “Between 2 Pink Ladies,” “Grease: Live” stars Carly Rae Jepsen and Kether Donohue play a game of paper fortune teller … and somehow end up belting out some Britney Spears.

In this exclusive video (above), Jepsen is asked about her first car and concert, while Donohue details the first time she ever got in trouble, then does a little spontaneous demonstration of the first song she was ever obsessed with — Britney Spears‘ “Hit Me Baby One More Time” — prompting Jepsen to join in.

Jepsen plays Frenchy in Fox’s upcoming live broadcast production of “Grease,” while Donohue plays fellow Pink Lady Jan.

The musical stars Aaron Tveit as Danny and Julianne Hough as Sandy, as well as Carlos PenaVega as Kenickie; Keke Palmer as Marty; David Del Rio as Putzie; and Jessie J, who will open the live event with a performance of a brand-new version of “Grease (Is the Word).”

Much like the musical and film, the TV adaptation sees the approach of senior year spelling an end to Danny and Sandy’s summer romance — until she unexpectedly transfers to his high school. With their friends pulling them in different directions, it’s up to the lovers to stay hopelessly devoted as they make their way from Rydell High to a new frontier.

The Paramount Television production will be directed on stage by Thomas Kail, and on TV by Alex Rudzinski. Broadway writers Robert Cary and Jonathan Tolins will write the script.

“Grease: Live” will air at 7 p.m. ET on Fox on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016.
