Former “Extant” star Berry joined the photo-sharing site on Tuesday, displaying an immediate understanding of a fact that takes some people tens and maybe dozens of posts to figure out: The quickest path to attention on social media is to get nekkid.
Berry’s initial foray into the wilds of Instagram featured a topless photo. Not “Monster’s Ball” levels of topless, mind you; the photo is a tasteful from-the-back shot, as befits an actress of her stature.
In a message accompanying the photo, Berry promised that the photo is but her first attempt to “reflect my emotions and perceptions.
“Hi everyone. Welcome! Today is a very exciting day for me… I’m looking forward to sharing our world through images that reflect my emotions and perceptions,” Berry wrote. “I am in awe of photography and its ability to capture and reflect this extraordinary world that we live in.”
The actress added, “I’m excited to share with you my love of nature, the arts, fashion and much more in the hopes that the images will inspire, promote conversation and bring you joy.”
