The most charming moments of the 2012 People's Choice Awards both involved the soon-to-be-90 Betty White: first, when presenter Don Cheadle ran off the stage to hug White, and later when the audience gave her a standing ovation when she and her "Hot in Cleveland" castmates won the award for Favorite Cable TV Comedy.
The rest of the night involved a lot of jokes so lame they managed to make even Jane Lynch and the cast of "Parks and Recreation" seem unfunny.

Katy Perry — who canceled a scheduled appearance on the show — was the night's big winner with five statues, while "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" nabbed four.
