Netflix’s red band trailer for new original series “Hemlock Grove” is full of sex, murder and expletives, but the highlight for any horror fan should be a bloody cool werewolf transformation.
The mythical monster appears to be one of many things that go bump in the night throughout Eli Roth‘s 13-part murder mystery series that debuts on Friday in its entirety.

Based on Brian McGreevy’s novel of the same name, Netflix’s third original show follows a homicide investigation that exposes a seedy, supernatural underbelly within the titular Pennsylvania town where the series is set. A gypsy kid, the son of the town steel magnate and an escapee from a biotech facility are among those suspected of brutally murdering a 17-year-old girl.
