In the latest trailer for “Hitman: Agent 47,” Rupert Friend gives us a better look at his impressive action star chops.
Friend stars as Agent 47, a mysterious assassin genetically engineered to be the perfect killer. On his latest assignment, he finds that he must protect a woman named Katia (Hannah Ware) from an evil corporation that wants to use her DNA to create an army of agents like him.
The film also stars “Star Trek’s” Zachary Quinto, “Game of Thrones” alum Ciarán Hinds, and Thomas Kretschmann. Aleksander Bach directed the film, while Michael Finch and Skip Woods wrote the screenplay.
The film is based on the “Hitman” video game franchise, which has been very well received since it began in 2000. The series also inspired the 2007 film “Hitman” starring Timothy Olyphant.
“Hitman: Agent 47” opens in theaters August 21.
