Hollywood Declares Brett Ratner ‘King of the Pigs’ on Twitter

Jessica Chastain, Jamie Chung and Amber Tamblyn voice support for producer’s accusers

Brett Ratner has become the latest person in Hollywood to face accusations of sexual misconduct, as several women, including actress Olivia Munn, have come forward with stories of harassment and assault at the hands of the producer in a Los Angeles Times exposé.

.

On Wednesday morning, the news was met with cheers from women in Hollywood who have been speaking out against the industry’s alleged culture of sexual misconduct. The strongest reaction came from Harvey Weinstein accuser Asia Argento, who posted a picture of Weinstein raising Ratner’s hand.

“Weinstein himself crowned you king of the pigs, Brett Ratner,” she tweeted. “Looking forward to hear your lame excuses/apologies for your hideous crimes.”

Argento also called out “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins, who presented Ratner with with a Tree of Life award at Sunday’s Jewish National Fund dinner in Hollywood. Jenkins stepped in for actress Gal Gadot, who cancelled, citing scheduling conflicts.

Others chose to react with brevity, as “The Gifted” star Jamie Chung simply tweeted, “Karma.” Jessica Chastain posted a link to the L.A. Times story and tweeted “YEP.” Amber Tamblyn praised those who spoke to the Times while noting that she personally knew someone harassed by Ratner who wasn’t comfortable with going on the record.

“I stand with them all. This is not easy to do,” she tweeted.
