Howie Mandel wanted to do something special for his 21st appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Wednesday, and so he made it all about fashion. With DeGeneres a CoverGirl spokeswoman and fashion maven, Mandel wanted to impress her, so he looked to Suzanne Somers.
He saw the “Three’s Company” star on television talking about her amazing new 3-way poncho, and realized this was the look he was needing. After all, it could be professional, casual AND sexy.
Mandel modeled all three styles for DeGeneres’ audience, in front of a shot of Somers doing the same. He even paired it with DeGeneres’ own signature “Quick Tails,” a pair of blonde pigtails on a headband.
With the blonde pigtails, he looked more like Somers’ “Three’s Company” character Chrissy Snow than ever … if she really let herself go, as DeGeneres quipped.
