Movie Press Praises Taika Waititi’s ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ as ‘Magnificent,’ ‘Hilarious’

Movie media mavens who’ve been treated to an early screening of “Thor: Ragnarok” are tweeting about the superhero sequel three weeks before the film hits theaters, and they’re are calling it “magnificent” and “an absolute BLAST.”

“I saw  tonight. All I can say is YOU ARE ALL NOT READY FOR THIS MOVIE,” said one media member who saw the upcoming movie. “No, really, it melted my face.”

“Thor: Ragnarok” was directed by Taika Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Anthony Hopkins, Tessa Thompson and Idris Elba.

In past films, Thor and Loki have both been bitter enemies (see “The Avengers”) and reluctant allies (see “Thor: The Dark World”). This time around, they’re back to working together.

The “Thor” movies have grossed $387 million at the domestic box office, and have been pretty well-received by critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, the first film holds a score of 77 percent “fresh,” while the second, “The Dark World,” is scored at 66 percent.

“Thor: Ragnarok” hits theaters on Nov. 3.
