Hugh Dancy has been cast as the lead in "Spree," a psychological thriller that Tommy O'Haver wrote and is directing.
Dancy ("Martha Marcy May Marlene," "Adam") plays a handsome and affable young man whose pre-wedding fling in Hollywood spirals out of control.
O'Haver, who directed "An American Crime" and "Ella Enchanted," based the screenplay on a story he wrote with Kevin Turen.
Maya Entertainment has worldwide rights and will pre-sell international rights at Cannes next month.
Maya is an independent content and distribution company that specializes in American Latino and multi-cultural audiences.
Production is scheduled to begin in early fall.
