The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) and the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) concluded negotiations on a new three-year contract to cover commercial production across the U.S., the companies announced Thursday.

“We have achieved financial progress for our members and preserved labor stability in the production of commercials,” said IATSE International President Matthew Loeb. “Thousands of working people across the country will benefit from increases to wages, healthcare contributions, and pension gains when working on commercials.”

New contract modifications include industry standard wage and benefit increases, as well as prioritizing safety, with the agreement indicating an increase in contributions to the IATSE Entertainment and Exhibition Industry Training Trust Fund (IATTF), which provides skills and safety training to technicians working on commercials throughout the industry.

The new agreement takes effect on Oct. 1 and is active through Sept. 30, 2019.
