ICM Partners has expanded their media rights and publications divisions and promoted Rich Green to head media rights, the company announced Wednesday.
The announced expansion also includes the promotion of Lia Chan, Hillary Jacobson, Heather Karpas, and Zoe Sandler to agent, with Will Watkins joining the media rights division from the firm’s Motion Picture Literary Department. Chan will work in media rights while Jacobson, Karpas and Sandler will work in publications.
“Intellectual property is the lifeblood of media in all formats,” said ICM Partners’ board members Sloan Harris, Esther Newberg, and Kevin Crotty. “With Rich at the helm of our media rights department, we are poised to build on the strength of our publishing department, providing the best opportunities to expand the work of our clients.”
Green began his career as an agent 20 years ago starting with a partnership with Lynn Pleshette in what became Pleshette & Green, and then Pleshette, Green & Sanders. His clients include “Fight Club” writer Chuck Palahniuk and “Silver Linings Playbook” writer Matthew Quick.
The promotion comes following a very successful year for ICM’s media rights team, whose recent sales include Margaret Atwood’s “The Handmaid’s Tale,” Lemony Snicket’s “A Series Of Unfortunate Events,” and “The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.”
