‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ New Trailer Considers the Best NYC Suicide Spot (Video)

Spoiler alert: It’s the Brooklyn Bridge

The new trailer for “Inside Llewyn Davis” is as catchy as the backing folk track from the film. It’s also chock full of quoted critical praise for the upcoming Coen brothers’ film.

In the clip, Davis (Oscar Isaac) and his new stray cat are not exactly welcomed guests in baby mama-to-be Jean’s (Carey Mulligan) apartment.

The titular struggling musician lives a fairly depressive existence, though he can’t understand how others get through their mundane, normal lives.

The clip helps to explain Davis’ sadness: His father is essentially a vegetable, his former partner threw himself off the George Washington Bridge. The latter is something Roland Turner (John Goodman) just cannot wrap his head around:

“George Washington Bridge? You throw yourself off the Brooklyn Bridge, traditionally,” he says in the clip. “George Washington Bridge? Who does that?”
