'Insurgent' Trailer: Naomi Watts Makes First Appearance, Miles Teller Returns (Video)

Fans of “Divergent” just got their first full preview for the upcoming sequel, “Insurgent.”

The trailer for the Summit Entertainment science fiction adventure starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James and Ansel Elgort shows the franchise’s villain, played by Kate Winslet, searching for a Divergent person to open a mysterious box she believes to be the key to “the future our people deserve.”

When the Erudite leader comes after all the remaining Divergents in the world, they team up with a group called “Factionless,” headed by Naomi Watts.

To up the stakes for the heroes created by author Veronica Roth, Woodley’s character, Tris, is “the perfect subject” to experiment on, too. And it looks like her old tormentor, played by Miles Teller, is back to bring her in.

The sequel, directed by Robert Schwentke, will hit theaters on March 20.
